Our ecological and social approach

We want to offer products that are not only comfortable but also durable over time. Our goal is to become more environmentally responsible and improve the quality of our products as we evolve. To achieve this, we focus on the materials we use, our shipping methods, and our actions.

Why did we choose organic cotton?
Organic cotton is grown with natural compost instead of chemical fertilizers. It is non-GMO and requires less water than conventional cotton. While a conventional cotton t-shirt consumes 2700 liters of water, an organic cotton t-shirt only requires 100 liters. The dyes used in organic cotton production are free of heavy metals or other carcinogenic substances. Additionally, organic cotton has particularly strong fibers, resulting in more durable and robust clothing that is less likely to wear down. In contrast, traditional cotton often suffers from the harsh treatments it undergoes, which decreases its quality.

Our supplier, Stanley/Stella, is well known for their commitment to eco-friendliness and ethical practices. Their entire supply chain and production process is monitored by independent organizations and associations to ensure that their products are safe. We also have several labels and certifications, including :
• Oeko-Tex Standard 100: certifies the absence of toxic substances in textiles
• GOTS: global reference for evaluating organic fibers that integrates social and environmental dimensions.
• PETA-APPROVED VEGAN: attests to our non-use of animal testing.
• Fair Wear Foundation: independent international non-profit organization that works to monitor and improve working conditions in the textile industry.
They evaluate based on several criteria:
-          Children do not work
-          Work is not forced
-          There is no discrimination
-          The right to unionize is protected
-          Salaries and working hours are adequate
-          Working conditions are safe and healthy.
These certifications are renewed annually and can be found here.

We ship our products without plastic, as many clothing brands still use disposable polybags that are discarded upon receipt and never recycled. All of our packaging is made from recycled paper (with a minimum of 60% recycled content) and is 100% recyclable. We rely on our customers to recycle our packaging. The cardboard used for shipping is collected from local merchants and is recyclable. Additionally, our shipments are sent in a flat package and delivered by bike or electric scooter to minimize carbon emissions.

We have taken other initiatives to be environmentally responsible, such as partnering with Stripe to donate 1% of each purchase to carbon elimination technology development. We also use a supplier that provides 100% renewable energy.
