Our textile marking technique: flocking

Flocking is a textile marking technique that uses the principle of heat-sealing. Often disliked due to some cheap Asian products that peel off after only a few washes, flocking is actually the most widely used marking technique in the world, even by major brands. It is popular due to its low cost and long lifespan when the product is properly maintained.

At Haiiro, we exclusively use premium PU (polyurethane) flex, which is two to three times more expensive than low-end PVC flex. Although this technique is typically only used for simple designs as it can be complex and time-consuming for certain patterns, we currently use it to strike a balance between quality and pricing.

While we are committed to providing quality products at an affordable price, we are also exploring alternative production methods to improve productivity and sustainability in the future.
